(Bureau International des Expositions) Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. Expo 2020 is expected to attract 25 million visits, with 70 per cent of visitors projected to come from outside the UAE.
On March 27, 2019, Shawky Fahel represented CMEC at the Canadian Arab Business Council Annual Business Forum and Gala Dinner in Toronto. This event brought together senior-level government and private sector representatives from both Canada and Arab states in the MENA region.
On January 25, 2019, CMEC hosted a luncheon for Scott Proudfoot, the representative to the PLO in Ramallah, to discuss trade opportunities between Canada and the Palestinians
VVDN is a high tech firm with over 2000 employees, looking to open up a location in Waterloo, Canada. CMEC has helped them find and lease a space in Waterloo, and are currently helping them negotiate a contact that will help them with the new facilities.
